1. PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING
The holder of this BTS has the function of taking care of children, maintaining and restoring their health, welcoming them as soon as they arrive and adapting the environment to their needs. He advises, reassures and informs parents. Similarly, it promotes the well-being, maintenance and development of the autonomy of dependent elderly people, whether disabled or not, through support centred on the individual within a structure or their environment until the last moment of life.

Specific skills
Master human reproduction (from conception to childbirth);
Practice the medical, social and nutritional care of the mother-child couple;
To deal with ageing and the elderly, in particular in terms of health and the medico-social system;
Master the different professions of gerontology, in particular: supervision of health or medico-social structures, research in care, advanced practices in the field of gerontological care;
Apply the specificities of the care and care of the elderly, as well as the identification of major geriatric syndromes;
Caring for premature babies in the maternity ward;
Be able to carry out emergency gestures;
Identify and respond to children's needs;
Facilitate awakening and learning activities;
Design and carry out specific animation activities for the elderly.
