1. OBJECTIVE OF THE TRAINING
The BTS in the Midwifery specialty aims to train health professionals whose mission is to support pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, from the establishment of the diagnosis until the day of childbirth, to lead the sessions of preparation for childbirth and ensure the delivery alone, to take care of the newborn and if necessary to perform resuscitation procedures and monitor the recovery of the mother. The Midwife ensures the gynecological follow-up of the woman (prescription and installation of contraceptives, perineal reduction and medical abortion).

- Ensure family planning for women wishing to have maternity;
- Conduct a prenatal consultation;
- Organize and lead a collective session of preparation for birth and parentage;
- Provide an emergency consultation for abdominal pain during the 3rd
trimester of pregnancy;
- Manage pregnancy from conception to delivery and after
childbirth;
- Diagnose and monitor labor, carry out childbirth and monitor its consequences;
- Diagnose and manage the bleeding during delivery (beyond the immediate postpartum);
- Perform the clinical examination of the mother and the newborn;
- Carry out a contraception consultation and gynecological follow-up and prevention;
- Carry out neonatal resuscitation of the newborn.
